This is Cartier's Swiss-made small Tank Solo ladies model #1018755 in 18K yellow gold and steel.  It has an 18K gold circular-grained crown set with a spinel cabochon, pale silver opaline dial, Roman numerals, sword-shaped blued steel hands, calibre 157 quartz movement,  18K gold deployant (folding) buckle and is water resistant to 100 feet. The Roman numeral at the 10 o'clock position is formed by using the word Cartier as one of the X's legs.  The face measures .75" x 9/16". Its overall size is 1-1/16" x .75".

This watch belonged to my late sister.  Originally it came with an 18K gold ardillon (tang) buckle.  However, she later bought Cartier's more expensive 18K gold deployant buckle.  The buckle is attached to a caiman leather strap which is worn and needs replacement.

In November 2007 Cartier was charged in a class action suit for allegedly violating federal antitrust laws.  The case was later settled when Cartier agreed to provide all members of the class a $100 credit against any future Cartier purchase.  As a member of that class, I received such a credit certificate good until December 12, 2010.  Rather than replace the strap myself, I have decided to give the purchaser of this watch that $100 certificate to allow for the purchase of a replacement strap of his/her choice.

The watch comes in the familiar red Cartier box with gold trim.  However, it's a different Cartier box than that shown in the second picture.  The folding buckle comes in its own separate Cartier box with certificate of authenticity.  It's in excellent condition and is very accurate.
