DUNCAN PHYFE Federal STYLE SOFA ART DECO NEO CLASSIC

Interesting sofa from the late 19th in the Federal style of Ducan Phyfe  , the carving  seems to be real carving not " applique" ( meaning not a molded piece glued over wood). While not an original federal  piece  the quality indicated that is a late 19th  or early 20th , the motive have a clear Victorian feel almost pre art nouveau .it was redone with " faux shagreen leather " which gives it a nice modern feel. It will provide a nice warm touch in any modernist setting.
